generally we're always clamoring for older characters so that's a good place to start

characters that are open to both sides of the gender spectrum or else are open to a lot of experimentation also tend to do well here, but really pretty much anyone is good so long as you're good at plotting and communicating with others

what medium do you play from? our wanted page isn't updated often so that's a better question to ask

That falls pretty much all within the range of characters I play. Medium is an even split between animanga and video games.

then i'd say flip a coin! or just pick what you're feeling more in the setting. people aren't really particular about characters/fandoms here. if you're friendly and willing to throw yourself out there you'll do fine.

my personal bias is towards video games, though, and i'd love to see more. especially sci-fi guys. love me some sci-fi.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't have some good fun! Despite what it can look like here, a large variety of characters can get attention. I thought I would have a hard time getting CR myself because of my character type, but I've been buried in CR.

Just be willing to put yourself out there and poke people and you'll be fine!
