Anyone find this volume really boring so far? I also can't take Cinder seriously as a student in disguise. Her vocal performance is far too slick and menacing for me to think, "sure, she fits in perfectly with all these seventeen year olds."

What do you think about the last few episodes, anons?

I've liked 90% of it, but that last episode was kind of dull. Jessica Nigiri is IMO the weakest vocal link in the series, she seems to have no emotion but Slyly Evil Planning like you said.

Kinda wishing that there would be some LGBT shipping to go with all this het stuff :( Monty's tweet feels kinda queerbaity.

But I've loved almost everything else. Penny yay, Sun & Neptune are amazing, I'm invested in the worldbuilding they've been doing.

Monty was asked if there were going to be any LGBT characters in RWBY, and he was like "how do you know there aren't already?"

On Afterbuzz he confirmed someone we've already met is LGBTQA who we may or may not realize it yet, and that there would be more, and that a number of the staff who work on the show are LGBTQA and so they want to include it.

but don't you know anon. characters that are LGBT have to ~earn~ their representation.

I dont mind trans headcanons. But when they do the thing where they headcanon EVERY character is trans it feels like they're doing it just for SJW brownie points.
