and i say that as someone who likes the game, but please don't pretend our anon culture hasn't been awful from the start. granted it's gotten better, but there was no reason for the whiteknight brigade to get summoned when people were pointing out concerns about how revisions were handled.

right or wrong, you guys made the game look like a bunch of assholes who can't stand a contrary opinion. shouting WHAT YOU THINK DOESN'T MATTER should've been the red flag to step back, seriously.

wait until people are accepted that anons think shouldn't have been, that's when it'll get even uglier.

just look at the anon comms around the last app period

maybe we've lost some of those who were stirring the wank but it's just as likely that they're still in the game

then people should just ignore it and not be so sensitive. if some anon talks shit about you, who cares! as long as you have good CR and are having fun, it's not a big deal. i really don't get why people drop after having one negative thread about them here or on wg unless they're just that insecure about themselves that RP is their whole life.

and if that's the case they really need to step back and examine their priorities in life.

i am in the 'lol who cares its just anon comms' boat, but its not really fair to expect everyone to not be bothered by criticism in a creative hobby, anon or not.

insecurity and creative hobbies tend to go hand in hand.

clarifying, critism should be something people search for, but i can understand that coming from an echo chamber like an anon comm can feel unwelcoming and upsetting, especially when people don't come to you to talk about it first.

ESPECIALLY with the not coming to you first. if all they do is jump straight to anon bitching and make it impossible to tell who actually has a problem with you or how many people, then the entire atmosphere of the game feels less welcoming and more like walking on eggshells. you can't know who wants you to tag them and who would rather be left alone but is too big of a tittybaby to come out and say it.

because it's pretty obvious if someone doesn't approach you about a problem and instead just stirs wank they have no interest in ironing things out or making things work. they just don't want you around.

crit is addressed to the player. or to the mods if it's serious.

if it's on an anoncomm, it can't be crit. you can't even know if they're reading it ffs. it's just complaining.

i like to imagine stupid crit anons complaining in the voices of Statler and Waldorf muppets. It makes everything a lot more laughable.
