Maybe it's just that one monster then. There is literally no pattern except for physical appearance. And ... for that you really don't need to list 10 character traits.

Which monster, anon, or do you worry that would out you?

I still strongly doubt that it's completely random, but there are some monsters I easily associate with certain personality traits (vampires, werewolves, demons, etc) and others where I don't really know what traits I'd associate with them (manticore, shade, kelpie, etc) and the first group seems a little more consistent than the second in what types of characters got them. Shade in particular seems a bit like the misfit option.

I'm kind of worried it would, yes. :( None of the ones you explicitly mentioned here, that much I'm willing to say.

Okay, that's understandable. Well, all I can suggest is not picking either next time; most of the ones who aren't really sure of what they got seem to be people who picked either and I imagine that might have something to do with either the mods having to choose from a bigger pool or trying to go with a 50/50 instead of something that's obviously one or the other.

I don't really have another character I want to put into Ryslig at the moment (the only other I'd be interested in playing is already taken), so I'd kind of have to drop and rejoin a bit later on. lol The thing is, there's at least two monsters that would have been super good fits/conflicts and there aren't that many of their sort in the game. So. Yeah. Gotta stay a little weirded out here and should I ever think of apping someone else, I will keep your recommendation in mind.

I almost have to wonder if different mods are picking for different characters, which would make things a little inconsistent even if they were using the same basic guidelines. Maybe one mod is better at picking than others.

Then they have pretty contrary views on at least one monster which isn't a good thing, imo. That basically does mean it's more or less random.
