I'm 90% sure that most of the deetless wanking on people in this game is just Murder, anyway. She's petty enough for it, and while I don't know about Adachi in particular? At least some of the other people namedropped as OMG SO HORRIBLE are people who she's randomly decided that she hates. Which is most people she's interacted with, to be fair.

if we're just measuring him against "other au characters" then you might be right but that is not what i'm doing. yes, compared to a bunch of other pieces of crap, adachi is not the worst piece of crap. bravo.

he doesn't seem really like an "asshat". he seems like a snarky pain in the ass, there is a difference. and that isn't adachi, by the way. the player sounds like she's just coughing up lines from cliched detective noir movies. adachi is supposed to be okay, but with a weird sharp edge to him that you can't quite figure out. when he says rude or bad things, there should be a sense that you could just be misunderstanding, because he's supposed to be sort of cleverly manipulative. this adachi is just "snark snark snark. vague insult."

what adachi did goes back really far into his character. like, i don't even understand how you can conceivably make a "role swap" au without changing every single thing about him. and then just play souji, because he's close to a blank slate anyway.
