ok i agree that the one person who said tag boycott was kind of out of line but frankly they were probably not even serious? it didn't read serious to me anyway. anyway that's one person.

i didn't see anyone "calling indisputable dibs on the reserve system" though.

didn't say they were friendly but complaining in a private plurk isn't bullying and i'm honestly asking if something else happened because otherwise it seems like this got blown way the fuck out of proportion

between that plurk and the 'reserve sniping' comment, yes, they were BASICALLY calling dibs on the reserve system. they wanted to play and they wanted to play with their friends, therefore anyone that got there before them was a squatting whore who knew ahead of time that they wanted to play and fuck them they ruined their fun.

when in fact the sasuke in question hadn't bothered to look at the tdm, had no clue about anyone else wanting to app and was blameless other than 'oops, they got there first'.

and nearly all of the people involved have reputations for being huge assholes so sorry i'm not overlooking this as a one off. if you're dumb enough to get this garbage leaked i don't care if it was private or not, i don't want to play with little brats like that who think they have a monopoly on a cast because they were there first and who also think it's perfectly acceptable to shit all over someone like this.

it's not, player toxicity aside.

it's the fact that they brought it here that makes it bullying by trying to rally anon around them in the hopes that the player might see.

that's what pushed it to bullying.

because it wasn't JUST complaining in a private plurk. it was complaining and talking about tag boycotting and no one in that plurk going 'hey, hey, that's not actually a good idea. how about we simmer down?' it's also about trying to garner support on reserve sniping and how they were the victims of this. put those together with the players' previous reputations for being assholes and you have a combination of wankworthy potential

honestly, anon, some of it is the players' toxic reputations preceding them.

the other part of it, and i'd consider this the larger part, is that the players themselves brought it here, fishing for buttpats. otherwise, i'm sure it would've gotten the side-eye you're giving it, and not much else.

that's what started the whole public debacle. sure, they talked about it in a plurk semi-privately, but they also went onto rpanons and tried to drum up sympathy for something that didn't deserve it. reserve sniping isn't a thing.

had it just been "oh man, I'm disappointed I can't play with my friend", that would be one thing. but they made it pretty clear they wanted the sasuke to feel like shit and make the game environment hostile to them. they dragged it out onto rpanons in an attempt to drum up more hostility against them, what with their RESERVE SNIPER!!!! DELIBERATELY SABOTAGING US!!!!11 blah blah blah. idk how that isn't an attempt at bullying but it is.

either way, the mods are making the boundaries of acceptable and unacceptable behavior very clear, which is always a good thing in my books. everyone knows exactly where the line is and now they can't try to argue their way past it.
