The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

probably because, if you'd been following it, the sasuke player caught wind of it, retracted their app, CAME HERE AND APOLOGIZED FOR HURTING/OFFENDING ANYONE, and then had a response from one of the offending parties of 'oops, we're sorry you found out'.

1) because people are mad this even happened

2) this is still technically a baby game and it looks bad if some of the players are acting like little shits

3) a lot of people this side of the internet have personal experience with the kind of passive assholishness that lock and co. got up to...

3b)... that, well meaning or not, people (like yourself) find all too easy to dismiss as "not bullying"

3c) when it is bullying because they were clearly trying to rally people against this player by bringing their tittybabyism over here

4) it's fucking internet rp and most of us are waaaay out of junior high so running into junior-high level social games in the 20+ crowd is always kind of offensive, especially over something so pointless in the grand scheme of things

had it just been "oh man, I'm disappointed I can't play with my friend", that would be one thing. but they made it pretty clear they wanted the sasuke to feel like shit and make the game environment hostile to them. they dragged it out onto rpanons in an attempt to drum up more hostility against them, what with their RESERVE SNIPER!!!! DELIBERATELY SABOTAGING US!!!!11 blah blah blah. idk how that isn't an attempt at bullying but it is.

either way, the mods are making the boundaries of acceptable and unacceptable behavior very clear, which is always a good thing in my books. everyone knows exactly where the line is and now they can't try to argue their way past it.

yeah, i definitely agree with that. and i agree that them dragging it onto rpanons to drum up support was shitty, so basically my questions have been answered here.
