most tumblrinas are rich white girls and while they do experience sexism, implying the level in which they experience it is in anyway compared to the levels in which they like to insist they are oppressed by society as a whole is laughable.

you can be oppressed and still over exaggerate it and/or appropriate the oppression of others.

tbh using the word 'oppression' instantly brings sjw-ism to mind

applying it to mild cases of sexism and asserting that an upper-middle class tumblrina 'experiences oppression every day' makes it sound hyperbolic

not even big things just little things, like someone not taking their opinion as seriously or whatever

everyone who isn't a rich white heterosexual, cisgendered, fully able-bodied guy deals with some form of oppression or -ism.

doesn't make talking about how bad the poor rich white girls have it any less insulting for people who deal with oppression more seriously and with more direct consequences every day of their lives.
