i rp because i like writing not because i need to escape my life by pretending to be someone else

escapism is completely normal tho

the problem comes in when you actively run away from life forever, just holed up in your room and never doing anything real

just wanting to forget about your problems for a couple of hours before you go back to the daily grind is completely normal

everything about a little bit of escapism being healthy and you being full of shit if you say you never ever indulged it in in any form aside, are you seriously going to pretend like the common perception of people who rp isn't that people who rp are a bunch of sat, fat basement dwelling nerds and losers? i mean, have a little bit of self awareness. come the fuck on.

why choose rp writing instead of all the other varied, more significant and more productive forms of writing? hypothetical question

i don't just rp lol. but rping is fun and easy. i enjoy rping because it's collaborative and fandom is engaging. i have other social writing hobbies as well. what kind world do you live in if you think a person can't manage their interests across multiple avenues
