(Anonymous) 2014-02-26 05:07 am (UTC)(link)The first involved my OC who is a deluded girl who thought she was a doll, it was a way of coping with the fact that a good part of her body had to be rebuilt with prosthetic parts after a horrific accident when she was young, and a Victorian gentlemen type who was willing to was attracted to her because her view of the world as a doll fit with how he normally treated women.
It was actually really cute, but also had a level of subtext that made it rather messed up and fun to play out.
The other involved two zombies. The OC couldn't eat processed food and refused to leave her home because she was worried about hurting, so my girl would often kill wildlife for sport and bring her the raw meat so she wouldn't starve. This one was easily my favorite of the two.
So my general thought on the OC x Canon character topic is that if they have something in common to justify the trope, personality or background-wise, it can work out.
