Unfunny wanky stereotypes

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

i will never try it. if you asked this because you are considering it, please don't.

i haven't read extensively on experiences with the ritual but after reading the steps it sounds a whole lot like a ouija board but with even more explicit inviting of the spirit to come in. doing this gives a wandering spirit incredible power. all around us, there's spirits, and some aren't human. imagine sitting in an alley in new york at night and offering free handjobs to anyone passing by on the street. that's basically what you're doing. you won't attract everyone but eventually a spirit will find your offer and take advantage of that. inviting something in is easy, getting rid of it is not, especially when you believe in it and are afraid of it. such things only give it power if it is malignant.

if you're a believer, please listen to me. if you're a skeptic feel free to disregard, but i still wouldn't try the ritual. i've seen a skeptical, rational nasa engineer believe in the devil after supposedly witnessing evil spirits in his house. it can happen to anyone.

inb4 skeptic anons calling me stupid. i'm not going to 'prove' anything to you because i don't care. i believe what i believe. and op, if you believe in this stuff, that ritual is dangerous.

agnostic. i don't believe in a god but i'm open to discussing the possibility because i don't think we can ever really "know" or "prove" these things. why?
