Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

wait, how do they stress you out so much? That's a valid point, anon, since the gameplay is often interrupted by random bits with the people in the ~future~ or I guess the present. Even if you care about the story, from a gameplay perspective they're pretty damn dull.

It's a freaking video game. You aren't a dumb 'dudebro' just because you get annoyed when the fun gameplay is replaced with boring gameplay.

i didn't mean just in assassin's creed, i meant people who don't care about any story in any video game at all ever. like /v/tards who say that the uncharted games are just movies. that kind of shit stresses me out, because it reinforces the idea that games can't or shouldn't tell a good story or be art.

and i found the modern day gameplay to be not dull at all, because i cared about the story/characters so much more than any of the ancestor storylines. i actually don't like ANY of the ancestors, and it was so nice to break away from them for a period of time. sure i have fun with my stabbytimes gameplay, but fun gameplay only goes so far when you want to slap the shit out of the main protagonist. ezio was literally the worst, but altair and connor weren't much better.

anon... plenty of people on /v/ engage with game's stories. Their problem is that the uncharted games choose to tell their stories with a lot of cutscenes and quick time events.
