what's your least favourite character design? i fucking despise presa's but low-hanging fruit and all that. so i'll nominate asbel and cheria's goddamn sleeves instead. fuck those things.

I agree on Presa. Oh, how I can't stand it. Way to conflict with her character. I also hated Milla's design for a long while, but if you put her in other costumes she's cool.

Regal's kinda bothers me because of his pants and the wonderbra.

Also agreeing with Presa and her outfit just not fitting her personality. Unless he's supposed to depict a dominatrix or something.

I'm also going to nominate Hubert and his spandex pants and fuck me boots. I don't mind the top, but the bottom looks like they ran out of nice fabric, here's let's cover it up with some thigh high boots.

Presa, hands down. For the reasons already stated. Also I'm not entirely fond of Slay's (Zestiria) design, but maybe it'll grow on me.

And while I don't necessarily dislike it, I will forever laugh at how silly Yggdrasill's outfit is. I imaging him and the others hitting up dance clubs together or something.

it's a chorus now, but Presa's outfit is extra skeevy since her backstory hints at sexual abuse. (and wtf is with the tail) agreeing with the above anon about Cheria's too. It's way too busy, and red and purple? ahhhhhh. I have her in her swimsuit usually, she looks way better in blue.

When everyone was talking about Presa I thought they were just misspelling Presea and was wondering what everyone was worrying about. I even looked up the outfit for Presea and didn't get it.

Then someone said sexual abuse and I just... O_o

So I looked it up and yeah, I haven't played Xillia much, hence the confusion.

What about favourite character designs?

For sheer wonderful ridiculousness, I love Agarte's outfit. Wedding dress cat girl with poofy sleeves and grape earrings.

funnily enough, i enjoy the designs for the whole main cast of xillia. they look fairly cohesive (aside from milla, kind of, but she's maxwell so she gets a pass), fit in with the dress style of the world's NPCs, and aren't overly complicated like some of the designs in graces.

(which is part of why presa is such a big disappointment ngl. everyone else looks good and then there's...her)

Flynn and Yuri. I really love the design of the imperial knights/Flynn's armour, and his palette is just pretty great all around. It conveys his character of the 'good knight' but stays classy.

Now if only they could've given him a different haircut...

As for Yuri, basically same reasons as above, plus all his clothes look really great for his character type: it's all slip-on, slip-off stuff that's easily attached and would let his lazy ass get dressed in minutes.

I love absolutely everyone's outfits in Vesperia, actually. They're all so fitting for the characters, it's wonderful. And I'd say the same for Xillia if it wasn't for Presa. Ick.

Natalia's has always been one of my favorites too.

Abyss was the high point of character design imo, Fujishima was rly at top form. The aesthetics were great. I don't think there was a single costume I disliked from that game (with maybe the exception of Luke's ripped abs.......)

Colette's is weird as fuck but has a very clean, fresh look that I love and that fits her character perfectly. And Marta's is really cute.

Judith's manages to be sexy but not skeevy which is amazing

Milla's Xillia 2 outfit looks great

And I really like Alicia's, tho I wish she had actual pants on and that they'd stop with the heroine=pink trend they've been using lately.

I really like the color schemes for both Cheria and Kratos. I really enjoy deep colors like crimson/ruby and variations of purple. I'm sure there's more characters with color schemes like that, but these two are the only ones coming to mind right now.

Milla's red and white outfit in Xillia 2 is another one of my favorites. It's absolutely gorgeous. I'd cosplay her in that outfit if it wasn't so complex and impossible to wear.

little queen is probably my favorite design from inomata. fodra queen looks like she's wearing weird body-spanning lingerie, but little queen has this ethereal, majestic look that i love. it feels very much like what a planet should look like in human form, natural and nature-y but still commanding a presence.

leia is my second favorite design from inomata. it's relatively simple for tales but still cute and energetic.

as for fujishima, i've always loved colette's and estelle's color palettes. their designs are great too, but the colors are really pleasing to the eye. natalia is one of my favorite designs for being both practical and pretty, and judith's i think is very balanced and cohesive, something i don't usually see in "sexy" character designs.

i like pretty much all of okumura's work in tos2 as well. everyone looks clean and sharp even if there's some questionable taste in fashion (hi emil's tube top). in particular marta's cute as a button, and i've always liked aqua too.

also everyone's designs in legendia are great, i'm just saying.

Martel, hands down. Clean, simple, functional, an absolutely perfect color scheme for a character like her, and compared to her contemporaries basically it just gives me the thought that she was the only member of the Seraphim who actually knew how to dress herself.

In general, I really love the Tales of School DLC outfits.

Every one seems to fit the accompanying character so well.

Colette's design was always a favorite of mine for being simple and very cute. I also liked Raine's design as well. Also, if it counts any, I felt like Symphonia had a ton of really cute character designs for its NPCs. The "Traveler" NPCs were a favorite of mine.

I liked all the designs from Phantasia; They were functional and simple, but still really interesting. I especially like Mint and Arche.

as far as crossover ships go I think Asbel/Leia would be interesting to play out. Leia's similar to Cheria but is more tomboyish, and they can bond over the power of friendship and curry.
