if you make shitty icons? look up tutorials. practice until you make better icons, or just keep shitty ones. POINT IS, you are not the only one who has to deal with having a rare character.

i have no incentive to help you when you obviously haven't looked very hard (i've already found caps for the entire damn game) and the only thing you want to do is whine about how no one wants to help you (rather, you bitch)

I've only been in the game a few months and unfortunately, I'm not in it anymore, but hopefully I can give you some pointers so you won't make the same mistakes that I did.

I agree that your mileage kind of varies as far as backtagging and cross-canon CR and it also depends on what kind of character you app. I was there with a sort of bratty and kind of anti-social character which didn't really help me, but since I was joining an existing cast I was able to build some interactions with people from other canons through my canon CR (if that makes sense). Being persistent really helps though and try to be early to the CR memes so you can tag other people and have them tag you back as well. Following through on them is also a big thing and will probably help you solidify a lot of your budding CR.

Getting a plurk also helps, but really, just trying to reach out and not being shy about it would probably put your character out there a lot. Be sure you have enough time and dedication to do all of that though because I definitely didn't even though I thought I did.

Neither anon is right, in a sense.

On one hand, yeah OP could go make some icons. But they did ask for caps/ ways to get them. Explaining like the anon above did about youtube is fair, so is telling them to try making their own. Them whining (which I don't see) about having to do that is fair game.

But on the other hand, including the self-righteous "Oh I had to make mine from scratch" thing is kind of cold, even if that anon did put in the effort to make their own icons. I don't know, I just see a lot of same anons on this thread with hateboners for David Cage + someone not being as capable as them when it comes to iconing.

Since it sounds like you played the game, op, spoilers shouldn't be a thing. Just surf youtube and use it to cap if you can stream in that high of a quality.

I absolutely like the idea.

I don't know what you're trying to say here. The OP apologized for making that anon annoyed, explaining they don't know what they're doing/ tried and quote "created abominations" they'd rather not use. So it sounds like they just hoped to score some already made icons, before that other anon swooped in all "I fucking birthed my own icons you should do the same you weak plebe" and seriously, not a great reaction.

If you are smart enough to find a selection of caps from the game, don't berate the op for it. Either share the link or don't be a dick and just don't say anything. "Wow that was easy to find!" doesn't help anyone.
