Happy Holidays

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.

Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

it depends on the surgeon and implant. natural boobs can be ugly too.

most fake boobs aren't that great, but i've seen ones where you can't even tell

usually it's because they're too big to look normal on the woman's frame tbh

i would imagine the girls might not put thought into how the girls are going to look and fit once they're in.

i saw a boob job recently that looked really natural! she was flat before, but she picked a decent cup size and they don't look plastic.

if it makes them feel better about themselves (even the women who already have big boobs), does it matter how you feel about them?

that's kind of a stupid argument to have on its own because i mean, drinking makes alcoholics feel better about themselves even though that's objectively a bad thing

i mean i agree with you but your argument is shit without actually discussing the ethics behind your side

that's kind of a faulty counter-argument, though. alcohol makes most people feel good with no permanent ill effects. it's not like an average boob job (even a bad one) destroys your life like alcoholism can. obviously people who have plastic surgery addictions are an unhealthy exception. satisfaction ratings for breast enlargements are actually quite high, even if the results aren't absolutely perfect. people do all kinds of things to meet arbitrary cultural standards of beauty, but that doesn't necessarily make them physically or mentally unhealthy.

i think it's more accurate to compare breast enlargement to other medically unnecessary cosmetic body modifications, like tattooing. not everybody likes tattoos. some people think they're ugly or tacky or an offense against the beauty of the human form. other people think a good tattoo can enhance the wearer's appearance. but ultimately, the only thing that matters is how the person with the tattoo feels about it. if it makes them feel confident or sexy or whatever, then it's a "successful" tattoo regardless of how you or i feel about it.

i would say having surgery to make yourself "more attractive" is the very definition of mentally unhealthy unless you have some sort of physical deformity.

just because you have no understanding of society or anyone else beyond yourself doesn't mean someone who has work done is mentally unhealthy. tbh you just sound pressed as fuck that someone has the right to do something without your opinion being involved.

people get plastic surgery to feel better about themselves, grow up and get over it. how are they mentally ill if they make a decision to better their personal image (for themselves) and feel happy with the results? It's the same as getting a piercing or tattoo for cosmetic and personal reasons.

whether you like it or not, people judge based on self image, and they always will. if roy mustang wants mentoplasty to feel hot for the ladies and better about running for president, fuck you, he has the money, he can do what he wants and he will be beautiful.

i completely agree that plastic surgery has become an industry that in some part depends heavily on promoting women's insecurities about their bodies, but at the same time i don't see how we benefit by targeting the women who get the surgeries. they're the victims of a society that weighs women's worth by appearance and obsesses over stupid shit like boob size.

that, and the fact that reconstructive breast surgery is a major part of many breast cancer survivors' recovery process, makes it pretty harmful to reduce the discussion about fake boobs to whether they are sexy or not.

in b4 someone shouts sjw

i'm not talking about whether or not it's okay or sexy or whatever, people can get whatever size boobs they want

it's just that an e cup isn't going to look natural on a flat chested girl and that's why a lot of them look fake

are you the op? you sound really offended by anyone who gets a boob job.
