rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. "seem slow"? the game is molasses compared to what it used to be

i'll agree that many of the people who dropped were insular in their tagging habits, but you can't pretend that the game hasn't taken a major hit, whether it's a result of the drops or not

But is it really a hit if all that activity was really just a small group of people who only played with each other? Yes, there are less posts, and not as many that get huge comment counts, but that was all being artificially created. It really just masked the rest of the game. So improvements probably need to be made, but we're not actually worse off without those people.

there are 20 posts on the first page of the main comm, dated from today (Dec 27th) to Dec 21st.

14 of those posts have under 10 comments
of the remaining 6, 5 do not break 25 comments
3 posts have no comments at all

if it's a slow environment people are looking for, then that's fine. but even with all those people gone, people still aren't really tagging out. you can argue holidays, sure, but something tells me it's not about to get better any time soon.

my concern is that people are saying "the cliques are gone! the cliques are gone!"

and then everyone feels better about not tagging out

I wasn't arguing that it's not slow, anon. I'm arguing that it's been this way for a lot longer than it seems, because we had a bunch of very active, but very insular, players making it look like the game was more active than it really has been in quite some time. The fact that they left didn't slow the game down, because they only tagged each other. It just exposed everything else.
