yeah, but it's confusing and hard to navigate. the glory days of silk road are over, so i wouldn't risk it now. a lot of the easily accessible pages are just fake crap or things like hacking and bomb-making info that you can find on the normal internet. i didn't get too deep into it because i didn't want to see child porn.

kind of boring unless you actually have a reason to be in there.

you can't really "explore" the deep web

"deep web" is just a name for number of websites that aren't archive-eable by traditional search engines, and are thus impossible to find unless you know how to specifically access them. there's no "special internet" you can log into and look at this stuff in a neatly packaged way, though some specialized search engines have tried finding ways to archive typically un-crawlable sites.

i'm not gonna lie. i don't give a shit about drugs or gore videos or whatever, i just want to see if whatever dark sorcery is at work in the dark net archived stuff from un-archivable websites, like deleted LJs and ff.net stories.

if it's not illegal drugs and cp the dark net probably doesn't care

I haven't personally gone in, but I was present for a 4chan thread where a lot of other people did and posted screenshots of their findings.

There was one site that dealt in selling children as sex toys (not slaves, toys) that I will never forget. It still really irks and bothers me to think about. I'd give the details, but anyone I've ever told this story to has always said, "In hindsight I really wish you hadn't told me that."

I have no idea if it is a real thing or just 4chan being 4chan and making things up, but the idea that someone thought of this shit at all really bothers me.
