i love my character and his story arc, but i don't even want to acknowledge the rest of his canon. it's that bad. it's problematic in so many ways... and the fandom is worse.

how much do you judge people who play from terrible/skeevy canons, even if they play characters who aren't involved in the skeevy parts at all? i wish i could just au my character out of his canon entirely, but everybody seems to hate aus.

there are 20 posts on the first page of the main comm, dated from today (Dec 27th) to Dec 21st.

of the remaining 6, 5 do not break 25 comments
3 posts have no comments at all

if it's a slow environment people are looking for, then that's fine. but even with all those people gone, people still aren't really tagging out. you can argue holidays, sure, but something tells me it's not about to get better any time soon.

my concern is that people are saying "the cliques are gone! the cliques are gone!"

I don't give a shit about what whiny adult-children think, so that's not an issue for me. Bummer, though, that Sunny characters are apparently few and far between.

i only judge if they don't acknowledge that the canon is skeevy and bad and try to gloss over the bad points like they don't exist.

i've actually had the most fun in rp when i was playing a character i like from a canon i hate! my only problem was that the castmates i had would always talk about how much they enjoyed the canon and i couldn't really contribute to the conversations. so, my suggestion is to try lone wolfing it if you can, or at least avoid your castmates oocly if you get any.

the canon i played from isn't really problematic or skeevy tho. even if it was i wouldn't give a shit because it absolutely does not matter at all. if you avoided canons because they did something someone didn't like you'd never play from anything, ever.

I have. One was a version from an earlier canon point and the other was from the most recent. It was really sad in a pathetic way because the character starts off with ignorant but good intentions that go horribly wrong, leads him to becoming an antagonist for a while, and he ultimately betrays his side to become one of the final protagonists. This sounds dramatic as hell and it was but we had a lot of silly moments too.

It was a lot of fun, I shipped it, and I really miss the CR I had with them and everyone else involved.

I just want him to lose quickly so that Seirin can have a more interesting team to play against. Rakuzan vs. Seirin has been the dullest non-filler match in the whole damn series.

yeah, this canon (and even more so, its fandom) tends to romanticize rape and child molestation. every castmate i've encountered has been terrible.

my favorite wtf warnings to date consist of a warning on a coffee pot for a coffee maker that said "Do not hold over head", and another on the packaging for a tiny screwdriver for glasses screws that said "Do not insert in penis."

how many people did this shit that they had to put warning on it?

if it's something like that you need to weigh up how much fun you could have with this character against how much awkward shame you would feel from playing from that canon at all. if you don't care and still want to play him, then just throw him on memes and let people tag you (though i wouldn't seek people out to tag them first) or take him to some place like CoA
