Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

You know, the people who are turned into Desertians from Heartcatch Precure or Zonders from GaoGaiGar lose their memories of being monsters too, but the show makes a point of showing that they subconsciously learn from whatever was making them rampage and become better for it. It's not hard to do.

The only reason I can think of is that it worked as a plot point to erase Naoki's memories of Nagashiro...

That the only thing I can think of, too. But that, too, could have been jilted a bit. Like, "I remember fighting... someone... and then..." and that sort of thing.

Like, I don't mind convenient amnesia. I just don't like that they forget EVERYTHING. If Link Joker is going for despair, then you'd think they'd want them to remember what bad guys they were, if only even for a while.

Eh, Link Joker is more about using despair to further an end.

They cause despair because it's the easiest way to Reverse someone. Their ultimate goal is "nothingness"... in that sense the whole "remembering nothing" makes sense, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. I would have preferred them to retain enough to actually grow as characters.
