Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

I love characters straight out of the OG! I find there's a lot of dynamic with them and they're a lot more volatile (in a good way). I love me some ACC characters too, but there's a different feeling to them. OG still has that feeling of anything can happen and I love Aerith's personality in it.

But I do think it's important to take Crisis Core into context if you're playing someone that featured in it. First and most obvious is that other cast members are probably going to be drawing from it. Canonwise, your character would not only be aware of the events but influenced by them as well. Which is the second part. OG isn't stand alone any more. Love it or hate it, it's part of a compilation now and that changes the canon. Playing straight from OG without taking the rest into account is a lot of room for headcanon that doesn't match canon any more. If you're a LCW than it really doesn't matter so much but once you start playing with castmates I think it really would.

I finally had to stop writing with someone that hadn't read their ACC character's Case of. Too hard to keep my character responding IC. At least watch the CC cut-scenes.
