Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

I'd prefer a revival of actual fandom communities, where people posted original content and discussions instead of just reblogging the same crap. I personally think that journal sites offer substantial advantages over tumblr... we just need to build some fandom infrastructure.

Memes are fun (especially for fic challenges), but they're hard to search. I think it might be neat to have a general comm for fandom discussion, though, maybe with some weekly/biweekly discussion prompts.

I'd hardly be opposed to that, the infrastructure just seems to have changed so much.

Oh, a general one might actually be a really good way to get started! That might let us build up the infrastructure. Fans could gather again, and instead of staring at an empty community page, there would almost definitely be something. Obviously some threads would have more than others, but it could be a great kickoff point and people can figure out just how much interest there is in a particular fandom?
