Rundown:

rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

do you play a relatively obscure or unpopular character/canon? ime a lot of people don't comment if they don't know or like either, especially if there's an influx of ooc intros all at once. some people might leave a generic "hello, can't wait to play with you!" but that tends to come off as insincere, so most don't. (someone in my game always goes out of her way to welcome new players and say something nice about their canon and character specifically, even if she isn't familiar with them, but i've never seen anyone else do anything like that.)

that said, yeah, i know that feel. imo the best way to rekindle that excitement is to tag out and plot aggressively; having a good time in the game proper definitely makes up for a lukewarm beginning!

I'd say my character is pretty well known, but a castmate also plays a well known character and had a lot welcoming comments so it makes me wonder if I did something wrong. Oh well. But thanks, I'll do that anon! I'll do my best to have a good time cause I don't want to be a downer forever.
