Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

MYTH MAKING: a panfandom fairy tale immersion game

[personal profile] mythmakers 2013-12-04 03:54 am (UTC)(link)

Once upon a time, long, long ago, fairy tales and fables existed to help humanity. They were used to teach children lessons of life, danger, love, and prosperity. They were warnings against those who did bad deeds, and examples of justice. Legends, myths, traditions, stories to tell your children, and their children, and their children.

As time passed, they faded. Their existence weakened. Many knew of them, but their powers had been dampened by the passage of time and the progression of society. Humanity forgot the lessons they had learned, the warnings given to them by nature and instinct, and the consequences for those who took so little to heart.

The stories died.

They withered and vanished and became memories.

Now so close to extinction, those who survived have taken it upon themselves to revive those forgotten tales, to renew them for the modern world. The dead cannot be risen, but new beings can take their place, to be welcomed as family, to carry on the tradition of lending aid to humanity, and to keep their world of magic alive.

Myth Making is a brand new, panfandom fantasy game set in the world of fairy tales. Characters are brought here to take on the lives and roles of classic fables and legends, to provide guidance for humanity and keep the world thriving. There will be monthly events and more, a slow, underlying plot, and a heavy NPC presence to influence characters and the decisions they make.
