rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

To the anon from last post,

I dropped Adstring for the same reason. The game I apped to is very different than what the game is now. I still love Adstring to death, but I'm not good with the slice-of-apocalyptic-life atmosphere it has going now, and trying to make my own plots happen was tedious.

If you feel like you want to drop, go ahead. If you want to make it work, you can try that too. This game has some really great people in it, and the mods are getting some game plot in.

But ultimately, the other anon who replied is right. If you can't bring yourself to care about the game anymore, you should probably drop and find a game better suited to you. If the problem is more like "you can't bring yourself to care about your cr" or "you can't bring yourself to care about what you're doing with your character" then you might be able to fix it just by tagging out to new people or looking through the bestiary/map/allowed items lists for something that appeals to you.

Ugh, that sucks. I never had that problem with people, but different experiences and all. I might've been really lucky in picking out all the right friends.

To me it felt like a lot of people wanted things to happen, but when the time came, they were too busy to follow through or couldn't think of anything to do. I do hope the game does well, and maybe soon things will change again for the better, in which case I wish everyone well. But I got tired of trying.

I love this game :(
