rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

I bought lots of things during the last two Christmas threads. Every time someone said they ordered me something but I never received anything. I was butthurt. I'm not participating at all this year partly because of that. Bahumbug.

awww, i can understand why you wouldn't want to participate again. hopefully anons keep the balance between posting wishlists and participating in the giving.

did you check your address settings? as stated in the last thread, it might be that your wishlist isnt set to use your address, preventing them from shipping anything to you

failing that, try going to your wishlist and filtering it so that only purchased things show up

I will probably be in your boat, but this is the first year I've done it. I bought two anons something (about $10 a piece). It does suck when your generosity gets nothing in return or when people abuse a gift-giving system; however

you also have to just look at it like this: you more than likely made someone else's holiday who may have been less fortunate, unemployed, etc. (Or someone else who gave tons of gifts and had no money left to get something for themselves!) The idea that you made someone smile and be happy for a little bit will have to trump being paid back in gifts.

Oops, I forgot to comment on the other thing:

I'm so sorry you didn't get your gifts! That's very terrible to be anon and be unable to tell the buyer you didn't receive your gifts. I hope they actually bought you something and it got lost in shipping rather than they just lied and got your hopes up! :(

man. i know you said you weren't doing it this year and i definitely understand why, but seriously, if you change your mind and link your list, i'll buy you something! that's terrible!

it doesn't look like the giving thread is going anywhere.
