I'm not talking about the story focusing on Athena. I don't have a problem with Phoenix not being the star of the show; I love Apollo and loved AJ.

I'm talking about Athena's voice acting. It's painful. Her constant need to make little noises all of the time is so anime it hurts me. I swear to god, anime voice actors can't let five seconds go without making some kind of unnecessary sound and from what I have seen, Athena is the worst offender.

I could be totally wrong. I hope I am totally wrong because I don't want to sit through an entire game of that crap.

And yeah, Capcom's advertising (when it even exists) sucks. That's not news.

If it was about the voice acting, then why didn't you make that clear in the first place? Your post makes it seem like that you were another fan bashing the character and not that you dislike her voice actor.

I thought Athena's voice was okay-ish. Not the best I've heard, but okay in the sense that I need to play the whole game before making final judgement.

Now if you want really painful voice acting in a video game, though, go play Rune Factory 2. The voiced dub was just awful beyond words.

and if we're talking about 3DS titles, let's not forget Rhythm Thief. the English dub was so bad, it was obvious they weren't even trying.

Then again, that whole game was pretty terrible.
