i was having fun but some ooc things came up and have been sapping my desire to rp.

If you want to try and get back into it one last time before you drop, I can suggest what I did when I was feeling this way about Abax?

Pick three people who tag often or that you want to play with, pm/im/email them, whatever, and ask if they'd be interested in doing anything with your character.

It doesn't have to be anything complicated, a random meeting, a conversation about something but you'd be surprised what getting a foot in the door does for talking to other people those characters know, too.

It worked for me, anyway.

That only works if the reason you're having trouble getting interested and involved is a CR issue. It's perfectly possible to have tons of CR, but have trouble getting motivated to tag because the events and atmosphere just aren't doing it for you.

someone please tell me what the hell you do with gossip girl characters in a game like this besides standing around and being drama queens? really. cause none of them are super intelligent that they could lead projects. none of them are fighters, they couldn't even get into Capax without getting themselves killed. so what?

i don't see why it matters whether or not they're smart enough to lead projects or good fighters. this is a horror game. it has horror elements. if anything those elements should be stronger when the characters aren't able to fight or aren't terribly intelligent.

so, i'd imagine that a gossip girl character would be able to stand around and be a drama queen and then later enter an event that would, i don't know, hurt them in some manner? possibly kill them? which could lead to fun scenarios with those characters.

and that's what it boils down to. fun. if you don't like gossip girl or think it's stupid that they're in the game when you think they have nothing to do, then ignore them, anon.

it probably boils down to putting them in a setting they would have trouble with. you could put a gossip girl character into slice of life games and games that aren't like abax and they could handle it easily, but the muns might just want to play them in a setting where they'd be uncomfortable.

you could ask the same question of rapunzel even with her healing hair.

so did the mods change when apps are being processed now as well?

just curious.

If it's like last time, they open apps at the start of the week and begin processing them the following Sunday. I think.

I really wish AC and the app round weren't running concurrently. Especially since it's the first AC, and a lot of people are probably going to be idling out.

I really enjoyed playing in the Mannequin event. As serious and as dark as that event was, it was fantastic kinds of fun for me and my characters. I hope there are more events like this in the future, and I enjoy the balance between semi-relaxing/cracky events (I.E. following the Mannequins with the bittyfying) and the very serious horror elements.

I really like seeing the characters that gravitate towards each other, especially the ones you don't think would hit it off. I know I've got great CR with characters I'd never even heard of before this game.

I enjoyed reading the thread between Wichita and Venkman in Wichita's intro. Hilarious face-twin confusion/fourth-walling and dry wit.
