I've heard about how welcoming this game is, but I feel like the players here aren't really interested in playing with me. I've been tagging around the CR meme, but most of those plans have fallen through. Sorry, I don't mean to whine. It's just a little frustrating.

What should I do? I wish people would tell me if I were boring or OOC, because at least then I would know for sure.

do you offer specific kinks or suggestions or just a generic "we should do something sometime"? from my observation offering more unusual kinks on the cr meme generates a lot of interest, and by that i don't mean bondage, i mean offering sounding or bloodplay or dominance-oriented scenes, although for the latter you'll get more takers if you have a dominant character

You don't need to offer really outlandish kinks if they're not something you're interested in playing, but specific sex acts and scenes tend to catch people's attention. (I need to take my own advice... I barely even got any nibbles on the last CR meme because I kept it tame.)

Based on the way the game works (and RL) many people are just now getting to things planned out on the last CR meme.

How long have you been in game? What type of character do you play? You said you tagged the CR meme, have you tried just tagging into open posts? Plenty of those do go up and I know personally I don't mind if someone tags in later.

everything the above anons suggestion, plus when the next hmd goes up, put that you're uncertain about your characterization in it. ask for feedback in helping you make your character more interesting if they're not.

don't be afraid to take it outside of the cr meme and to pms if you have something you want to work out with someone. i've found a lot of times stuff that gets planned and isn't solidly worked out gets pushed aside because there'll always be another cr meme to replan those things and events and random tags sort of take up someone's time. make the plans. solidify them. offer to set up a log.

This. I don't know if it's the case for the OP, but when I have a specific plan for interaction, and an IC date to set it on or around, it is much easier for me to follow through with than something vague. If the only plan is that characters should meet, it's a lot less likely to happen. Things that generic move to the bottom of the list, unless there's some follow-up from the player to work things out.
