it's not that it's going to make a fuck ton of posts that's gonna get on my nerves, but that they're all gonna be the SAME damn "wtf!!!!" reaction posts that you get with sex swap curses in this game. no one thinks of creative shit to put up focused around the event. it's why i hate physical body swaps w/o personality changes in this game. it's just the same shit over and over.

i like the fact that this curse has a ton of options for people to choose from, i just think it fucking sucks that so many fucking people are going for "SUDDENLY DICK/VAGINA/BOOBS" instead of the ones that might actually generate something worth replying to.

I understand your gripe, but you understand it basically boils down to "stop liking what I don't like", right? You're coming off as really whiny.

I like how they whine about how people should go with the "more interesting" options. How about YOU approach people with the options you want? Stop acting such pillow queens where players exist to please your kinks. Get what you want, and other people get what they want.

Just because it's something you're not into doesn't mean it negates what you do like. Flipping ridiculous. I've never seen such whiners in a game before. And I agree with the above anon, Amat doesn't get THAT many network posts per day that your scroll button breaks.

yeah i'm aware. i was dealing with little sleep when i made the comment so it was pretty inevitable. not to say i'm not gonna still roll my eyes at the repetitive posts that go up, but i'm not so annoyed that i don't regret bitching and moaning about it like a jack ass now that i've actually slept for eight hours.

Even if you're kinda coming off like an ass in the way you're putting forward the argument, I kinda want to agree with you that it'll probably be bad to wade through the inevitable "oh no my balls" posts. But that's not the fault of the event, it's just that a lot of people put very little effort into what they do. But that doesn't negate the fact that cool things will still come out of this, so I'm not going to let a few people's lack of creativity and a handful of potential network posts that I can just scroll past ruin that for me.

the lack of creativity complaint always bugs me when it crops up in game threads. any game thread. i don't care which one.

if they and their cr are having fun with what they're doing that's literally all that matters. if nobody at all likes what they're doing then they won't get tags. they'll either up their game or drop.

your game mates aren't there for your personal entertainment. they're there for theirs. if they're having fun then they're doing their part. if your idea of fun coincides with their idea of fun great. if it doesn't don't act like they're somehow depriving you of something you're entitled to. you're not entitled to anything and chances are the things you post and play bore them too. different tastes and all that.

yeah the people lacking the effort to come up with more creative posts about those specific aspects of the curse was all i was really complaining about. that's why i did point out that i like that this curse has so many potions and i won't let it fuck up my enjoyment of the curse on a whole or anything. i like that they offered so much so that i can ignore those aspects of it that i'm not particularly happy about and i'm not gonna go and spit in those people's cheerios for having fun or anything.

i definitely sounded like an ass though. this is why i should stay out of rp discussions on 3 hours of sleep and several straight days of work. my bad.

Question; how do you feel about someone who chooses to go the lost balls/vagina route but does it in a different way than OH NO MY BALLS?

No one has really complained about that though. People often just find posts that are basically "HEY GUYS THIS IS THE PREMISE OF THE EVENT" without any prompt past that to be uninteresting and difficult to work with no matter the context. That doesn't mean that they can't exist, but I'm not going to begrudge anyone for thinking so either. The reason why penis/vagina events like that get an extra bad rep is because a lot of people feel that the posts are basically that: copy-paste event announcements identical to several hundreds of other posts since the days of LJ.

But that doesn't mean that awesome things can't be made from either and I know for a fact that every player I've talked to that's doing those curses definitely have some great for them, and I'm definitely looking forward to that.

seeing a non-recycled post for this would probably make my day a hell of a lot brighter. i'll applaud the shit out of anyone who steps outside the box with this one.
