i've never seen someone crit their entire cast before. well, one of them was just a snide comment in another canon mate's hmd comment, but it was about the other character being ooc. is the dgm cast that bad, or is this some kind of canon highlandering?

I have no idea how to begin this, nor do I usually this, but I have to say a few words. A few judging words:

Shame on all of you.

You don't think I can't tell who you are? Clearly, all of you have some sort of history with Boku and you're using this as an excuse to be petty about your hatred and jealousy for him. Also conveniently, some of you are in Asgard to screencap all that. You don't think I don't know every single person on my plurk list who has in interest in DGM? I'll leave it at that because that's now the point.

However, this is ridiculous. This shows just how much backstabbing goes on in this fandom and it's shameful.

My cast? I fucking love my cast. I love the muns. I am well aware of all the "other casts" and yes, I can pick out every single group that has come here to nitpick at what doesn't need to be nitpicked. We might not be a big "happy" family, but in reality, families don't always get along. Families fight and bicker, but the thing about family is that they listen to each other. So you can go on saying you're all one happy blissful, crit-free family. Go on. Pretend that you're better because you have no problems. You can feel as bad as you want for us, because I don't feel bad about my cast all.

Your supposed "righteous fury" about how Boku crits the rest of the cast is rather hilarious, because both Desh and Mikki have made no complaints about said critiques. It's a critique, it's not an attempt to bring anyone done. And before anyone says "well you didn't get critiqued," yes, I did. It happened before the HMD went up; it's on my personal HMD. Am I upset? No. Critiques, while being opinions, are meant to help. You take what you can get from them. Critiques are not infallible, but they bring up good points that strive for improvement. They are not personal attacks. So stop treating them like they are. The gracious people here are actually the ones who got critiqued, as opposed to a few angry anons trying to be buttmad for them. You're trying too hard when you say how he "text walls" and is like an "rp martyr" when giving crit.

Don't think that you can understand anyone until you've walked in their shoes. Don't assume you know everything based on a few plurks. Don't fucking say shit until you know the full truth.

The other ironic thing is how you all seem so upset about Boku contacting other Lavi-players for crit help. But isn't that what you're all doing? Judging one character (Boku's Allen) based on your opinions of how you yourselves play Allen? The hypocrisy of that defeats whatever you have to say after that. It just goes to show how much of this is from a grudge and your looking for a way to blindly stab.

That brings me to another point--what in the name of heavens does his gender have to do with rping? Absolutely nothing. You brought it up to be spiteful, to show how much of a spineless, bitter person you are. A person's gender identity is their own. Just how low can you go, using this chance to slander someone and shame them about their identity when it has nothing to do with rp? The "they change back and forth all the time" is also a lie. He identifies as male, and has identified as such for several years.

"But Boku also thinks that Allen is Jesus, so...Boku is Jesus?" I actually laughed. Allen = Jesus is a joke. A joke he throws around when he talks about tagging. I throw it around too, and so does all his close CR people on plurk. There's also the notion that Boku = Allen...which is just ludicrous. Never has he said he's Allen. Yes, he jokes about certain things, but never has he mentioned soul-bonding or anything along the lines of that. He knows that Allen Walker is a fictional character set in a fictional canon. This whole "Boku's Allen is himself" is beyond stupid because him and Allen are not the same people. Can any of you say you've held a proper conversation with them, without being blinded by your presumptions? Can you? Only manipulative bastards would try to come up with this excuse because you're all anons and unless you have proof, this is all shit when it's up against someone not hiding behind an anon mask.

So--who doesn't identify with the characters they play? That's what we play them; because something about that characters draws us to them. And never before has he claimed to be the god of DGM or to be better than anyone else. We all read the same canon and we all interpret it in a way. As someone who briefly also played Allen Walker, my interpretation was different from Boku's. Never is anyone perfect. And never has he said he's perfect in his interpretations. I don't agree with everything his says. He has his bad points, but--so do I. However, I respect him, and he respects me. You come here and complain like children how he doesn't listen and how terrible he is, when in the first place you didn't respect him. And you expect him to appreciate you? Not in a million years with that kind of attitude.

This whole thread just reeks of passive-aggressiveness, bitterness, jealousy, and malice. You sure spent several months stewing over him, didn't you? Just waiting for the right chance when you can say all of this anonymously, tittering at yourselves that you've done a good job. Guess what? It means shit to people like me. It doesn't mean anything to people who trust him. It just comes off as despicable behaviour.

I don't give a fuck what you thought of me before I wrote this or what you think of me now. I do care if I lose half of my plurk list because this would show just how many of you didn't care. But I'm not standing by for shit like this. This is not about whiteknighting, nor is it so much about roleplaying so much as defending someone who's of an apparent unpopular opinion and is needlessly being attacked. I don't want any more people telling me "No you don't understand Boku at all/you haven't see the side of him that we're seeing/He's aggressive and pushy and dangerous/look what he did to me and others/you don't know what he did--"

Shut it. I don't want to hear it. I'm not blind, nor am I naive. I can judge for myself what sort of person he is, and he's proven to be someone I can trust and do trust.

and giving crit is something good, nobody denies that, but there are different ways to give that crit. the thread dropping comment is a fucking irony coming from them, saying they checked with other lavis was bad taste, and i can't believe you aren't annoyed after they took a stab at you IN ANOTHER CHARACTER'S CRIT. that's not how so called "family" works.

maybe that's because i'm either blind or lucky tho

also, logging in just isn't going to be effective. it's more trouble than it's worth so i think this was a poor decision if you wanted to calm things down

you could have just said "hey, the rest of the cast is fine with the crit, and I don't think this is something that needs to be discussed"

As someone who plays in Asgard over a year now and has never known Boku before his Allen, I was uncomfortable about how he chose to crit his castmates. And if I were a castmate who just heard someone went and talked to strangers about my flawed portrayal and had the nerve to write to me about it? I wouldn't want to play with that person again. Boku is lucky they have such gracious castmates but that doesn't mean people didn't read what they wrote and thought it inappropriate.

If someone has any reason to be ashamed of themselves it's Boku. Like I said, I didn't know Boku before but I wouldn't want anything to do with them in the future based on what I've seen. Other anons have the right to point that out too, sorry to say.
