Hey, Ink here. I had kind of a funk with this game for a little bit due to WG issues and some rl stuff sapping my RP drive, so yeah, I know I've had some problems with threads. But! I'm working on slowly but surely getting to backtags, and if there's something I've been tagging with you or anyone else that it's my turn on and you really want to continue, let me know! I'm a slow tagger at the best of times unfortunately but I've been working hard to keep up as well as I can, and once I get all the way caught up I shouldn't have a problem.

Can I just say I love our psychopath characters? Aunamee, Grey, Wesker, Hyperion, Alpha...we have some excellently-played villains in this game. And their CR with each other is fantastic.

i'm in a few other games and i haven't been really looking back at the games as much as i should have over the past week or so, but i haven't noticed anything super eyebrow-raising.

idk things have been a little angrier on WG recently, but it's WG, I don't really count a few players being annoyed by homestuck as hostility :\

I'm thinking back to the PPP and other game-related posts and it seems to me people have been as friendly as ever

From one newblood to another: Don't worry about WG. If people have a problem with you, they can come to you directly. If they don't come to you, the problem isn't as big as they're making it out to be, or they're just looking for something to complain about. You don't owe anything to malcontents, so keep doing what you're doing with the people you've befriended. The complainers are really only making themselves miserable.

as part of the "old guard" (I think? I don't think people realize that the majority of the game is the "new guard" and that being there before them doesn't make them "old". the game only really started getting players in Arena 5) everyone I have run into is happy for the new people.

I think wankgate is a few people who want to make trouble, both in and out of the game (Since some of the comments have clearly been from people either not in the game, or paying so little attention they might as well not be.)

Don't worry about one or three faceless people when there's MANY more who want you quite a bit.

Depending on how new you consider new...

I apped in last Arena and it's been great so far. I haven't felt unwelcome in the slightest, and have enjoyed the vast majority of my ooc interactions as well. I personally feel like the problem here is that the game expanded very rapidly and both the modteam and the playerbase are just having a little trouble adjusting. It's growing pains, and given time, they'll work themselves out.

i think once the oldbies who are used to their particular cr and the game only having those particular characters start to interact with the newbies more, and once the capitol plot starts so the newbies have a way to strut their stuff and show they can play the game well, this will die down immediately.

That's really reactionary, in my opinion.

Also, in the interest of playing devil's advocate... I've never seen the problem with what people generally refer to as cliques in the RP world. I suppose it seems natural to me that people will develop preferences and friendships from them. So long as the characters are not inaccessible, or hold up large portions of the game, why should that matter? You get the same thing from characters who have a certain net of CR, even if there's no ooc interaction involved.
