i admit i'm wary about bringing my friends in because there is hostility about new blood

the majority fo the WG whining was about homestuck so if they're from a different canon they should be ok

new blood here, tbqh i'm starting to feel weirdly unwelcome. everyone i interact with ooc has been lovely, but the shit on wg is making me paranoid.

From one newblood to another: Don't worry about WG. If people have a problem with you, they can come to you directly. If they don't come to you, the problem isn't as big as they're making it out to be, or they're just looking for something to complain about. You don't owe anything to malcontents, so keep doing what you're doing with the people you've befriended. The complainers are really only making themselves miserable.

But people in this game don't come to you directly. They go to the mods and complain about you.

if this is about the whole give people stuff to work with in tags thing, the mods have said. that wasn't about anyone in particular. i know, i was one of the anons who had the problem, and i never named names or bitched about specific people. get your panties untwisted.

If it's like the above anon says and it's a problem in general? Don't take a general PSA as a personal attack. Take a good look and see if you're contributing to the problem. If you are, take the free advice.

If someone takes a problem they have with you specifically and goes to the mods without even trying to resolve the problem with you first? That's their problem, and they should learn to fix their own problems before running to "find an adult to fix it for them".

as part of the "old guard" (I think? I don't think people realize that the majority of the game is the "new guard" and that being there before them doesn't make them "old". the game only really started getting players in Arena 5) everyone I have run into is happy for the new people.

I think wankgate is a few people who want to make trouble, both in and out of the game (Since some of the comments have clearly been from people either not in the game, or paying so little attention they might as well not be.)

Don't worry about one or three faceless people when there's MANY more who want you quite a bit.
