I'm going to assume you're also the anon in the wankgate thread who doesn't understand that people will discuss and express their upset over having their game closed abruptly on them, and perhaps also even the mod making sarcastic remarks in the namedrop thread- since these are all appearing now at once.

And "expressing their upset" somehow includes namedropping threads in wankgate? I don't blame them for getting out.

Not even in the game, but up and saying your game is closed right then with no warning is pretty damn shitty and they should be called out for it.

I can totally understand that, but watching them get torn apart here on a personal level is pretty vomit-inducing too.

Players are right to be upset, and it wasn't handled as well as it could have been, but there's being disappointed and upset, and there's this.

What 'personal' details have even been picked at though, thus far? There's a namedropping thread but nothing has been posted in it that's remotely on a personal level. Well, and typical gonsai hate but you're kidding yourself if you think anything involving him won't attract people just looking to stir shit, so that hardly counts.

It's one thing to call someone out on a shit decision, but it's another to invite people to dig up all the wank they can on specific people.

This crosses this line from understandable feelings of anger and upset into specifically targeting them as people.

People get namedropped all the time for far less shit than this

Stupid as their decision was, I don't think they took the time out of their day to decide how to deliberately fuck everyone in the game over.

Have you even looked at the namedrops? They are even pretty mild on the scale of namedrops, but its basically just going "here are these people, here are the things they have done in the past to rouse my ire" rather than the usual level of mindless vitriol found there.

If it had stayed in the Institute thread it would have made sense, but dragging it to a different section on wankgate meant to personally shame them seems like overkill.

I did read it, and people are digging up stuff they did in games they don't even play at anymore.

So? They still did it. Just because you did something shitty in the past doesn't mean you're absolved of it after x span of time. Especially if you're still doing it.

Then by all means, continue your crusade of justice to rip on the fact that two of the mods are married, among other personal details.
