That she thinks only she's right in the beginning of the game and that it makes her justified in being hurtful to others? Generally that's called being self-righteous. Also for the record Serah did come to have other people to rely on including her own strength, Lightning just refused to see that until midway through the game.

Regardless if you're going to ask for advice on a character for a game where a big part of the game is every character having a character development arc you should probably state where along the arc you want advice on.

So blaming others for everything, exonerating yourself of any wrongdoing and encouraging kids to kill or be killed isn't bitchtastic at all.

This is going to be shocking to you, but it's still called being a self-righteous bitch even if it's a guy. Lightning doesn't get exemption just because she has ovaries. If you've played the game in any form without your weird rose colored glasses on you'd know Lightning is supposed to be a jerk in the beginning of the game so she can develop out of it over the course of the game. Hence why I wanted to know what time point OP was looking at. She's not shitting rainbows by the end of the game, but she's definitely different.

It's not like she's the only character in XIII or Final Fantasy who gets a reality check during their game. If you can't handle your character being wrong or insulting to others Lightning is not the character for you.

I didn't play FFXIII with any kind of glasses because I didn't play it. I heard that it's too railroady for my taste. Nice assumptions there.
