Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Oh, hello.

It certainly wasn't the requirement to participate in events. That seems perfectly reasonable to me. ...Also this is a bit embarrassing because I seem to have misread the AC or conflated it with that of another game, because I thought there was a post required as well, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Anyway, my lack of familiarity with my alleged native language aside, the anon above me has done a good job covering my concerns with the multiple threads rules. Having an either/or for post/threads as a player choice helps people who have different play styles or character personalities.

Besides, if a lower AC isn't cutting it, you can always raise it later. If you're losing characters to a strict AC in the beginning, it's going to affect the game's ability to get off the ground.

Another good couple of points. I will say that I dislike AC that requires posts to be made because some players prefer to tag out a lot but can still be more active than those who put up posts themselves, as well as can cause the end of the month post rush. I'm not 100% opposed to them, but I'm not very likely to implement one unless it becomes clear it's a the best option.

You're defintely right about better to start low and go up than the reverse though. This is going to take some considering.

Yeah, thread-only AC actually suits my play style better than top posts, and the end-of-month content-free post flood can be a problem, though you can mitigate it by requiring the player to show some kind of effort in responding to threads in their post.

Regardless, there's no need to set anything in stone in the beginning. If you make the first couple of AC rounds provisional, you can find out if there are problems and figure out how to fix them. Players are forgiving of shakedown issues as long as mods stay communicative.

Whatever you end up deciding, thanks for hearing me out. The game looks awesome and I hope I end up in it.

I was going to make the first month AC free anyway, but now you mention it a slightly longer provisional peroid to test the system sounds great. It's for things like this that I encourage players or prospective players to talk to me.

I hope you end up with us too, useful anon.
