I think she'd be easier to play than series Asuka, actually. Because while Rebuild Asuka here is kind of an anti-social misanthrope, series Asuka has issues on top of issues and is liable to melt down extremely fast without something to use as a crutch.

But yeah, just bumming around with this journal and doing nothing.

Heeey! Another fellow Rebuild!Asuka player here. Well technically, I don't play her anymore. From my experience, I've never played with Original!Asuka. But it does seem a lot easier for Shikinami to get some CR interactions and people to drag her out of her shell compared to Soryuu. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that one is better than the other, but there's definitely some differences you'll see in your RP experience. I wish what Rebuild could've done was add more background to Shikinami since everything about her is left up in the air. I just left it to my own speculation that her past was similar to Soryuu with some differences and/or she just handled things a little differently than Soryuu. The fact that Soryuu has more background behind her would be a good reason why people would be encouraged to play her more over Shikinami.

But it's even more fun when you get a chance to play Rebuild!Asuka against original!Asuka or Rebuild!Asuka against Rebuild!Rei (since it would've been really nice to see how their relationship developed more) and Rebuild!Asuka against EoE!Rei was a real treat. I could go on and on, but seeing Rebuild cast hitting it off with the original characters is pretty entertaining. And I've already got a 3.0!Asuka journal waiting, but I doubt I'll get a chance to use it.

Speaking of which, characters like Mari definitely had gotten more background (like something about her having scars on her body as a memorial for her pets that died) and more personality (with her being Asuka's Kaworu and having a big sister side to her personality towards both Asuka and Shinji) in the Rebuild drafts, but they had to be tossed aside. In Mari's case, it was for her not to overshadow Asuka and probably time reasons came into account.

Noooo problem, I could probably write forever about it. I think that's really the tough part with Shiknami - you don't know how different or similar her past really is.

And I really wish we got to see more of Mari and Asuka interacting. Kiiinda disappointed that 3.0 was nothing but Kaworu and Shinji Show.
