The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Was that ever really a problem though? I was in a lot of games and a lot of game chats back when they were popular, and except for one instance of the resident crazy saying something really awful, I don't recall any major issues or meltdowns over disagreements. Usually people would take disagreements to a private venue. Also that's what you have comods or chat moderators for.

Though honestly, if you're going to mod a game and just assume that everyone is going to do something terrible off the bat, like make huge arguments in a group chat, or lie about what happened in a group chat, I'm not really sure I want to play in your game. It doesn't bode well.
