Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

If you honestly are triggered, I don't suggest this game for you. This is a kink game and the sexual content isn't typically vanilla. It'd be irresponsible to rec this game to someone that'd have to be constantly wary of the content.

The thing I appreciate about this game is that most players don't use the warning section on the log posts for a pointless warning about potential triggers. If you know anything about triggers, you know they can be anything and are largely unexpected by most people. For instance, a description of a dark alley could be triggering to someone that was sexually assaulted in one. Anything could or could not be triggering. Many times it's something seemingly innocent that can set someone off. Basically, no one but you can know what it is triggering.

Instead of using such a blanket term that doesn't really mean anything, most players use meaningful warnings. For example, the usual log's info looks like this.

Who:
What:
When:
Where:
Warnings: Underage, bondage, violence.

So no, most people do not use trigger warnings. The entire concept of the game and nearly any thread could be triggering to someone. Instead, players warn for the particular events occurring and you can gauge for yourself whether it will be triggering for you.

You should realize for yourself that joining a game of this variety is just walking into a field of possible landmines.

Sorry, "trigger warning" was a poor choice of term used on reflex. I should have referred to just general "warnings" instead.

Thank you, this answers my question. It's more that I wanted to know if the information to gauge for myself would be provided.
