Ken was a moderator in TLH when he came out with his past history...and while I didn't ban him because he swore up and down that he's been doing his best to change and respect others' opinions

A short time later, around February, Ken started trying to dictate me how I should raise my dog and flipping out whenever I disagreed. I got sick of it and blocked him on both Plurk and AIM.

I'm sorry that you feel that way. However, those two sentences are as much time as I'm willing to spend on a comment where the only contribution to the discussion is an endless stream of hostility.

I have explained my reasoning behind not banning Ken. It's because nobody asked me to ban him in the two years I've been modding the community. Even the harassment case showed up because he started reporting people he harassed to me and I gave him a strike in response. I couldn't go further than that because nobody ever approached me said "I want Ken banned".

In retrospect, I fucked up majorly in that case. I really should have banned him on the spot, but I was incredibly angry at him and my worry that I might be banning him out of personal bias (reinforced by the fact that he did have friends who were TLH regulars at the time) kept me from going all the way. I didn't have any co-mods at the moment, so there was no one to push me into committing to the thought. But now I'm only a sub-mod and the final decision is out of my hands. The best I can do is explain why Ken wasn't banned back when it could have been my decision.

Disagreeing with you and telling you you're an asshole =/= "trolling this conversation into a wank". By your own admission you knew Ken was playing child rape at the time you learned Ken was a child rapist. You're a disgusting excuse for a human being.

I actually didn't know that. My and Ken's RP interests never crossed over, so I didn't pay any attention to his threads or personal activities. Our first real instance of conversation was when Elf assigned us both to become TLH mods. I had no idea about the content of his threads in Lovesphere, TLH or anywhere else. I only found out about it when snippets started popping up here months later.

I did know he liked RPing non-con. I had no idea about how similar his threads were to his actual crimes until I was informed about it, which happened after he and I stopped talking. However, he was barely a presence in TLH by then and nobody came forth to me with requests to ban him. I never thought he would become an issue again.
