i'm thinking early canon, since i want to play the violent, lying "ha ha ha you make me wanna cum" side, which was kinda gone after her battle with ganta. but, i'd eventually like to develop her past that.

the only advice to give is that she's two-dimensional pre-ganta development, so keep in mind that she literally only has two "modes": sickly saccharine sweet and XXX GONNA CUM [OBSCENE TONGUE WAGGLING]

both of these are acts, to a degree; obviously the good girl act is what it is, but she's not really that vulgar, she's just angry about a lot of stuff

she's pretty much rping herself badly to mask (haha masks) her real issues, so

you're right about the two-dimensional thing but the VIOLENT CRAZYFACE is just hilarious. yeah idk maybe it's not a good reasoning but damnit it looks fun.

any advice for post-ganta battle minatsuki? no cray-cray, just violent tsundere. which is still fun.

well, she obviously has a couple hair triggers about her past/those topics that will set her off, so be mindful of anything that might come up about family/parentage. i'd keep her cagey and dismissive at best, because she keeps up her tough girl facade minus the vulgarity post-ganta fight. at worst, obviously, she totally flies off the handle when she's really upset and immediately is out for blood.

there's also trust issues, which all the deadmen have, but mina's are more pronounced, i would say -- because she's so young. her core trust issues are again her family issues, but since they were formed at such a young age, she has pretty much no experience/fond memories of positive relationships. so, it takes her a long time to warm up to/trust other people, and she's really not the type to sit around and muse about the reasoning behind things when she feels like that trust has been broken; you get one chance in minatsuki world, unless you're a ganta type, but even then - circumstantial.

the aforementioned tsundere... the most praise she's ever given someone is "badass," so i would keep any kinder/admiring feelings she might have on the down low; cagey, again. she keeps her emotions on lockdown from others.

i'd say she keeps her tough attitude going because she's afraid of being perceived as weak, after her dirty laundry gets aired. despite being traumatized by what happened in her childhood, she comes off as a little ashamed of any moment in which she was not in control of the situation, so. that's probably the part most open to interpretation.

not to say that she's totally a mess of facades and problems (although there are a lot of issues, yea), because she IS really tough! but it's good to keep in mind that even though she's had development (i would reread the fight w/ her & chaplin vs that... butterfly girl... whose name i can't recall), she's still working a lot of stuff out. canon events have slipped real hard away from everyone not in the 'main character' tier for a while, which sometimes gives the impression that everything is resolved for those guys! -- but it's soooo not. she's young and she's had a pretty shitty life, but she earnestly wants to improve herself.

also worth remembering how mad she gets about sorae's wretched egg diary; she's tough, and she's done some dastardly shit, but she isn't without morals/ethics.
