"Some things I will ask players to stick to, such as for at least the first ‘season’ I want them to hide the truth from the public" Instead of just asking, why not use the setting to offer a sound reason not to come out with the truth? Maybe there's something set in place that literally prevents the characters from outing themselves. Maybe, just as memories can be lost temporarily for hiatuses, any time a character tries to out themselves, everyone forgets the next day.
Seasons Make sure that it will be easy for characters who app in later to blend in! In other words, someone who apps in during the third season should be able to get by with a quick summary of the first and second season - not extensive studying and reading.
