another potential apper here. was wondering how open is the game to child characters? (8-13, about that range) also how backtag friendly are people, generally

People have been very backtag friendly to me so far! I've been on a screwy schedule and all my threads have been very accommodating to it.

As for children characters I know we have a few in the game. They seem welcome to me as far as I can tell but I don't know their exact age ranges.

don't see any problem with child characters, though I'd say it depends on who the child character is. there might be some non-war mission stuff between missions, but the majority of events are going to be related to the ongoing war and dangerous time travel stuff.

Most of the kids are in their early to mid teens, around the 13-16 range (Eva characters, Homestuck trolls, Madoka Magica characters, etc.) There is Arya Stark, who is both younger and doesn't live in the Hold but who still gets good CR. Larsa is younger (11 I think) as well. There's Ico and Jericho, who are between the ages of 11-13. I don't think there's anyone younger than 10 years old, but I may be wrong.

I play teenagers and all three function well enough, though of course it's dependent on personality. If the character has no battle experience and no skill at diplomacy or any other "marketable" skills it might be harder for them to integrate into the game. It's more dependent on the character's personality and skillset, rather than their age.

As for backtagging, everyone is very good about it. Sometimes tags may be dropped, but in my experience that's only after they've gone on for some time.
