I'm looking for a new game to app a rare character from a little-represented canon and I'd love to know which games are kindest to obscure characters. Thank you for any suggestions!

Psychonauts, as a matter of fact! I know

whispering_rock welcomes actual canon characters, but I'd like to know what other good bets would be - and besides, I'm wavering between one character and one of the few characters who probably wouldn't be able to be fit into there.

I'm not even in this game yet but ffff Psychonauts.

havenrpg? The cast list looks pretty diverse (it's one of the reasons I'm looking at the game, too).

If you're willing to go journal-based,

lastvoyages is extremely friendly to rares and LCWs.

entranceway actually has a bunch of little-represented canons, like Portal or Penumbra. We have a nice mix of big name canons/characters and little known ones.

asgardeventide is pretty awesome to obscure characters. I play a super obscure book character and a Homestuck (wow that doesn't make me obvious at all!!, I am physically incapable of remaining anonymous) and the book-character-no-one-has-heard-of has had both of his posts mobbed by willing CR.

(I also apped a Psychonauts character there ages ago, but decided against introing her- I'd love to see characters from the canon actually in the game, I think they'd thrive!!)
