Anons, I have a slight problem. Basically I have a castmate whose characterization I really don't agree with. They're not bad, I just really don't agree with their interpretation to the point where I don't want to thread with them. I feel like this isn't really something I can actually crit them on without sounding whiny either and I don't want to ruin their fun.

I just really disagree with how they interpret this character.

I can always use the excuse that our characters don't like each other to weasel out of tagging their posts and their logs, but I'm wondering -- what would you do if you were in this situation?

I would try to figure out what issues I had with their characterization and crit them, probably privately (i.e. not on the HMD), saying something like "it's not like you have to change much about how you play this character, [but] these particular issues confuse me", etc.

So disappointed with all the new games on ATP this round. Some of them start out sounding like they'll be cool, but then go off half cocked midway through the premise.

It's like game makers are trying to shove two mismatched halves of something together to make a new-sounding idea, but all they create is something that's not cohesive and barely coherent. So many of these new games just sound gimmicky and mismatched.

If you like fried eggs when the yolk is still runny, you'll probably like poached eggs. But since they're boiled, they don't have as much flavor as a runny fried egg. So they're good as a topping for toast or meat or something, but kind of dull on their own.
