rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

I'm a little worried just how much the game is dependent on playing with other people because I don't have very good wifi. My prime hours are 2am - 4am and I won't be staying awake that late any more...

I highly doubt wifi will matter outside of trading, online battling, and event pokemon.

The whole video talked about how much interacting with others is going to benefit your gameplay, and it's the whole reason they're working to release the games simultaneously...

...so yeah, I'm a little worried. I would assume that you can do it independently but boy.

I personally assume it's going to be a more polished, worldwide version of the multiplayer stuff in BW and BW2 (Funfest missions, Dream World, Join Avenue, and so on) that's there to get you more rare items and Pass Power type things rather than anything that's going to seriously effect the main game, though I could easily be wrong. The multiplayer stuff in Pokemon has never really been necessary to complete the game, so I'm not too worried.

I do hope that this means there's a lot more that you can do over the internet instead of having to be in the same area as a lot of other people who play Pokemon, though, because that's always been a problem for me.

There a reason you don't simply use a network passcode?
