You know, I think this game offending the die-hard Fate fans may be a plus. A lot of them are, how shall I put it, very invested into the canon and especially the power level nonsense. Them not applying would be a godsent.

I think the game has a better chance with this, because several of the major Fate wankers won't apply, making the game more fun for casual fate fans or people that mostly know the canon from RP.

That? Is the majority.

I'm not a Fate fan at all, but the one thing I did like was that there was all kinds of intrigue and internal politics between the mages. Making it into a standard panfandom jamjar removes most of that intensity. The obsessive fans are still going to join (I know some who are already working on their apps) and they're still going to whine about power levels and classes.

Look above. Look at the complaints made about the game. How many of them relate to power levels? Absolutely none.

There is nothing in this game to prevent power level wankery. If only care about power levels this is the game for them!

That was why I added that line, to make it obvious that I was posting a complete nonsense comment, summing up every nonsense comment said in fate threads.
