rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Temporary Change: To reduce the strain on Dreamwidth's servers new entries will go up when a post reaches 3,000. It doesn't look like DW can handle 5,000 comment entries at the moment so please refrain from spamming so we can stretch these entries for a little longer. You raise fair points. However, when you're in a public game, you may be playing for yourself, but you're not only playing with yourself, which leads to critique and so on. Because of this, I don't think the mindset of "players are not obligated to 'cave' to nitpicks" doesn't hold true.

Castmates and gamemates =/= outside watchers with no stake in the game.

If a castmate or a gamemate I play with frequently has a legitimate issue with my playing, I trust they'll bring it up to me in a civil manner. I'd be more inclined to rethink my playing if someone I had threads with regularly had something they wanted me to work on. Because ignoring it will hinder everyone's fun in the long run if it becomes a bigger issue.

But something like this, when you're lumping everyone in the GX and 5D's fandoms together in how they play OMGTERRIBLE yaoi pairings? Unless you're the person(s) I'm actually playing the ship with, sorry, but I'm probably not going to give any fucks about your dislike of rampant yaoi in the fandom.

It's one thing if someone is directly affected by my playing, but if you just want to complain because you have an inability to scroll and ignore, I have no sympathy for you.
