rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Ugh, if you'd stop being so sarcastic and condescending for like half a second, you might realize that I didn't actually say any of the things you just imagined I said.

Pretending everything is hunky dory when it's not isn't going to do anybody any good. There's a name for that, it's called denial. I like this game, I used to love it and I'd really like to be able to love it again, but it's hard to deny that there's a lot of crap in it right now on basically every single end, from the players to the mods. Just getting into some big hugbox circlejerk thing and then getting hostile as shit when challenged is just gonna make it worse, and that really pisses me off.

I don't have a problem being challenged (see my other threads) I just have a problem being challenged in a condescending manner (like you initially did).

You're right, you know. If actual problems are ignored and not treated as actual problems, then that's not helping the game or anyone.

But there's a GOOD way to bring up problems and a BAD way. Good: HMDs, private conversations, or even just trying to BE the change that you want to see in the game. Bad: Posting condescending, unhelpful remarks publicly and anonymously and making people feel like shit for PLAYING A GAME.

If a game isn't fun for you anymore and none of the good methods to make it better seem to make a difference, just quit. There are other games. It's like being in a relationship. Instead of sticking around, being miserable, and probably making the other person miserable, just end it and find something else.

I can understand people taking issue with certain aspects of the game. But just because YOU are miserable doesn't mean EVERYONE is. And just because you're anonymous doesn't give you the right to be a dick.

People are still people and when all is said and done, this is just a game. The mean things you say about people (not their characters or the portrayal of their characters) will make them feel like crap, and that's not what any of us play these games for, am I right?

Don't act like this anon whining is going to do anything other than make people feel like shit. Most of whom don't deserve it. If any of you actually cared about making the game better, you would bring it up in a forum that matters and in a constructive context. Not like this. This is just rage-spewing.

So let this be a lesson. You don't want me to be hostile? Don't be flippant and act like you don't have to actually state your case because you believe you're right. I'm willing to have a genuine discussion with you. Just start with some mutual respect, my friend.

Just for future reference, when someone feeds you a single line of condescension, the proper response is not to return the favor with several paragraphs of your own.

You're making good points, and all, but you've coated everything with this layer of "FUCK YOU, DOUCHEBAG, TEEHEE ^_^" that makes taking it seriously a lot less appealing. It's turned your reply here from "I hear you, and let me tell you why anoncomm is not the place for these complaints" into "I hear you, but let me tell you why you're also a jerk, and by the way you're condescending, my bad attitude ITT is your fault, was that so hard teehee," so much that I can't even tell if you're replying to the comments about the game or just wigging out about a single flippant remark.
