I have to say, I kind of agree, and this is speaking as someone who actually used to watch the G1 cast back when they were in Cape and Cowl

Not actually IN either game, just a stalker. Though now stalking less, for reasons that will become ovious.

Back in Cape and Cowl they had a lot of character development and went through some really awful stuff together. The absence of a Megatron, Starscream's terrible leadership skills, all the crazy stuff that went down in that game, it made sense that Soundwave and Shockwave became more emotional. They still stayed in character, but they just went through some interesting character development that gave them depth different than their original selves.

I can't say much about Skyfire as I didn't watch that as much? I do remember him being briefly involved with Starscream but the two players surprising me by having them never quite manage a healthy relationship and then break up pretty violently...? If I'm remembering right anyway.

But it feels like ever since they came to Singularity it's like... nothing of what made them interesting in Cape and Cowl stayed. It's all weird emotional soap opera drama. That stuff existed in CnC, but it was always tempered by, y'know, actual Transformers G1 stuff. Wacky schemes to take over the city foiled at the last moment by one of them being a complete moron or by one of the heroes stepping in. Here, maybe because of the way Singularity works as a game, I dunno, but they never do any of that. They just sit around, and Soundwave buttfucks Shockwave, and for some reason they're in a threesome with Skyfire, which, I'm sorry, I know Soundwave and Skyfire's players are together in real life, but this is really the sort of IC relationship which shouldn't happen outside of a musebox. I never remember their characters being that close in CnC (maybe I wasn't paying attention...? I was really in it for Waspinator tbh), and the way it's developed in Sing just... it just makes no sense at all.

Anyway point is, ALL I see from that cast is weird relationship issues that go on for over a hundred comments and sometimes completely derail posts. It's gotten to the point that I'm probably just going to stop reading their stuff. Which is fine, I guess, don't read it if you don't like it, but I have to say, this cast has fallen a long way from being one of the best TF casts in RP-land.

Howdy anon! I definitely appreciate the perspective here. Honestly, I've been concerned since the get-go about all of the drama, so I do think the concern is legitimate. I could get on my soap box and go on about why I think it works, but at the same time, I can definitely understand your view. I'm going to take it into account and see where we go from there.
