would people rp with me if i just didnt use any icons

ive been trying to find a solution to my icon quandary for like a year now and to be honest im just about done trying

Yes if it's prose, no if it's brackets. I like brackets, don't get me wrong, but the short descriptions brackets tend to favor wouldn't work terribly well without some kind of icon imagery, IMO.

yeah, my style's more on the side of prose. i know what you mean about the short descriptions brackets.

actually i have another question. what games would be good for non-fantasy ocs? i've been trying to shop around but a lot of the games i know of that accept ocs, like luceti or the pokemon game or whatever, don't really tickle my fancy because they're too on the side of fantasy/animanga.

a few of the newer games accept OCs — i know exitvoid does, exsilium, ataraxion, asgard eventide, abax (i think), new babylon. i think labyrinth might do, but don't quote me on that. as for older games, poly does. maybe one of those would be more suitable?

Abax does accept OCs. Got a few of them already.

what pokemon game accepts OCs? :O

That depends which type of Pokemon game you want to join, anon. If you are interested in playing canon or original characters unrelated to Pokemon in a Pokemon universe setting, I suggest Route-29. Characters from worlds where nobody has ever heard of pokemon get sucked to Johto, go train pokemon and collect badges, etc.

If you're looking to play Pokemon OCs in a Pokemon game however there doesn't seem to be anything around at present, though Pokedressing's mods have confirmed they will be making a DW mirror, and there are rumors of an all-OC pokemon game in the works (fingers crossed for that).

Route_29 doesn't accept OCs, though.

Not even going to bother anoning because I'm one of the few people who play an OC at

united_one, but I've actually had a real blast with my OC there. Since she's a completely normal girl with no powers or anything from the regular old real world, I didn't think she'd fit in well, but it's actually been quite fun. And if that doesn't tickle your fancy, I see a fellow U_O-er down there, so might as well second their note that we take OCs (fandom and totally original). ;;

In the same situation myself, so that's one person who definitely would... either way give it a try, what's the worst that could happen?

just a personal preference because I'm shallow, but if I did this I would just set a relevant pretty picture as the default. it would also make the journal look more like it was actually being used.

I will tag somebody with a single icon. But an account with no icons at all looks incomplete to me, and to be honest, I probably wouldn't tag you.

I'd tag you. It seems pretty shallow to me to not tag someone just because they have no icons.

Icons aren't this important, people. Most of the time it's just a generic white guy model anyway, yawn. I usually don't even look at those, they all look the same after the sixth OC.
